Makes around 12 servings.


  • 1 med yellow onion, diced
  • 4-5lbs ground beef
  • Around 6 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the sauce:



  1. Dice yellow onion and put in the bottom of a 13×9 casserole dish
  2. Brown ground beef and season with salt and pepper, drain and set aside
  3. Meanwhile, steam broccoli for 3-4 mins, drain and set aside
  4. Cook bacon, crumble and set aside

For the sauce:

  1. Pour heavy whipping cream into a sauce pan and let it warm up. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  2. Once the heavy whipping cream is pretty warm, add cheese one handful at a time and stir until the cheese is melted. I used 3 handfuls of cheese. You want the sauce thick, but not super thick (think like, Campbell’s cream soup thickness)



  1. Put the raw diced onion in the bottom of a 13×9 casserole dish
  2. Pour the cooked and drained ground beef on top
  3. Put the cooked broccoli on top of the ground beef
  4. Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli
  5. Top with crumbled bacon and shredded cheese
  6. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and cheese is melted.
